Gavin Dempster lives in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands with his fiance, Sarah, and Chuck the spaniel. After a childhood spent mostly playing video games Gavin found cycling as a way to commute to work. It wasn’t long before he was racing on the road, specialising in long breakaways and even longer training rides. Probably the ultimate all rounder, just as competitive in a 5 minute hill climb, a 3 hour road race or a week long ultra race.
Gavin has been on Zwift since the Jarvis Island days, instantly hooked on the combination of gaming and cycling. Between work and living in the highlands of Scotland, hours away from most of the racing in Scotland, Gavin increasingly used Zwift to get his racing fix and quickly became totally hooked. In 2018 Gavin won the Zwift European eCrit championships at a live final in London. Later that year, and just a few days after finishing 5th in a 2,500km ultra-endurance race around Ireland, Gavin competed in the CVR World Cup live final in Vancouver, Canada. In 2019 Gavin qualified for the British Cycling eSports National Championships live final in London, finishing on the podium in 3rd.
