Ryan Larson is a long distance runner who fell in love with cycling. As a collegiate runner at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Ryan’s PRs included a 15:10 in the 5K, 8:36 in the 3K, 25:24 in the 8K and 1:15 in the half marathon. Due to injuries endured as a collegiate runner, Ryan decided to end his running career and started racing his bike. In 2017 he was introduced to Zwift, and in 2018 he began racing on the platform. In May 2019 he became a part of Indoor Specialist.
As a systems integration engineer, Ryan’s work week can be demanding and sporadic, so Zwift allows him to ride/race any time of day. As an ex-collegiate athlete the absence of competition and the feeling of not belonging to a team is never easy, but because of Zwift, Ryan has become a better athlete and met amazing people along the way.
